IOTA News: Both the crypto and blockchain sector have a big week ahead. Coins are doing fairly well Monday, with the exception of IOTA (MIOTA) and Cardano (ADA). Meanwhile, Ripple (XRP) and Bitcoin (BTC) are in the green.
For this article, we are going to be looking at IOTA (MIOTA).
MIOTA Daily Chart
MIOTA is currently selling for $1.97. This puts MIOTA down 0.69% in the past twenty-four hours. MIOTA is classed as the 8th largest digital currency. It is behind Stellar (XLM), which is up 2.14% in the past twenty-four hours, and ahead of NEO, which is down 0.68% in the past twenty-four hours.
IOTA News: May 1 to May 14
IOTA has not announced anything today, so there is no direct reason for MIOTA to be in the red. MIOTA was down on Friday as well, despite disclosing multiple positive announcements during the week.
The IOTA Foundation started the month off by announcing that it joined an initiative, called the Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative. Then, three days later, the foundation was announced as the sole winner of a Porsche partnership. On May 8, Huobi Pro started trading MIOTA. Then, on Thursday, the foundation announced that Michael Nilles has joined the team.

Additionally, last week, the foundation revealed the Qubic project, which is something the crypto community has been looking forward too.
What is the #IOTA community more excited to see?

That leads us to this week. There has not been any news announced yet, but it will be worth keeping an eye on the foundation’s Twitter page for the remainder of the week. Why? Because, as mentioned, it’s a big week for the sector, and it’s likely IOTA is going to say something noteworthy.
The crypto community has remained pretty quiet on social media when it comes to IOTA. The #IOTA hashtag doesn’t get much love, but that may change once IOTA makes another announcement. What do you think?
