Ethereum Classic (ETC), NEO, and Ripple (XRP) Recover

Ethereum Classic (ETC), NEO, and Ripple (XRP) make a comeback today.

The crypto market was in rough shape yesterday and most coins were down for the day as a result. However, it looks like many coins are beginning to recover now. One of the top leaders of the day is Ethereum Classic.

Ethereum Classic (ETC)

This hard fork of Ethereum is currently ranked as the 14th largest cryptocurrency, with a market cap of $3.9 billion. At the time of writing, Ethereum Classic is selling for $39.29. The altcoin is currently up 19.98% in the past 24 hours, making it the third largest gainer for the day right now.

Based on the chart above, ETC has experienced a fairly sharp growth in the past 24 hours, although it does seem to be easing off a bit now. The coin was briefly over $40 a few hours ago and has now levelled off to its current selling point.

Since this time last year, Ethereum Classic has grown 3,120%.

Still ranked as the 7th largest cryptocurrency, NEO is currently selling for $135.84. The coin is up 5% in the past 24 hours.

At the time of writing, NEO has the largest percentage gain among the coins ranked as the top ten cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (which is currently selling for $11,045.50, putting BTC up only 2.33% in the past 24 hours).

NEO has been a bit all over the map in the last 24 hours, as can be seen from the chart above. After peaking just above $138, NEO has tapered off a bit now. Will NEO continue to grow today or is the altcoin going to start declining now? It’s difficult to say but based purely on the chart, it looks like NEO may be done growing for the day. The rest of the week, however, is still up in the air.

Ripple (XRP)

After an exciting news week last week, it’s not surprising to see Ripple up now. However, XRP isn’t up by much right now. Ripple’s current selling price is $1.14, which puts it up only 0.42% in the past 24 hours.

Ripple’s price has really jumped around today, even more so than NEO’s. Ripple is sitting in a position where it could just as easily grow from here as it could drop off suddenly, so keep your eye on Ripple’s movements today – they should be interesting to watch.
